AI Report Denmark 2026: Danish AI, built for business

Written by Wilco Verdoold

The first AI Report Denmark maps 1,249 Danish AI tools and companies and ranks them in five ways. Danish AI turns out to be built for organisations rather than consumers, and a small group of companies attracts most of the money. Download the full report and see where each company stands.

AI Report Denmark 2026 is the first comprehensive overview of the companies building AI-powered products and services in Denmark. It covers 1,249 AI tools and companies headquartered in the country, and all figures are based on June 2026 data.

The report was produced by RankmyAI in close cooperation with Aalborg University Business School and AI Denmark. The authors are Jesse Weltevreden, Jacob Holm, Agnieszka Nowinska and Christian Østergaard.

Built for business

Danish AI is applied and industry-oriented. Of all tools and companies in the report, 95% serve professionals, developers or organisations. Only 11% target consumers, and another 11% government organisations (a tool can serve more than one group). Creative and content tools are scarce. Media and content creation accounts for 2.0% of the landscape, writing and language for 0.6%, and design and creative tools for 0.3%.

The largest domain works differently. Most Danish AI companies sell standardised products, but in consultancy and tool development, 21.1% of the landscape, 73% of companies sell services only. Together they attract less than 1% of measurable funding and 4.3% of website traffic.

Most of the money goes to a small part of the landscape. Measurable funding totals about USD 2.58 billion, identified for 236 companies. Healthcare and life sciences make up 9.5% of the landscape but attract 26.2% of that funding. Copenhagen is home to 46.7% of the companies and 72.1% of the funding. And the Top 250, one fifth of the landscape, account for 81% of it.

[Danish AI companies’] success reflects Denmark’s ability to develop AI solutions that address real-world challenges and create value across sectors.

Five ways to rank Danish AI

The report ranks Danish AI tools and companies in five ways, all based on June 2026 data. Each list measures something different, and four of them also exist as monthly rankings on RankmyAI.com, where positions move with the data.

Veo Technologies leads both the overall ranking and website traffic, Dixa tops investment, Liva Healthcare tops user reviews and EG Sigma is the fastest grower. No company appears in more than three of the five lists.

Read the traffic figures with that profile in mind. In a market this focused on business customers, website traffic says less about commercial success than it would in a consumer market. B2B tools can be widely used inside organisations while drawing modest public traffic. The median Danish AI tool receives 2,139 visits a month, and the top five account for 35% of all traffic.

The interactive map shows the current Top 250 Danish AI tools and companies, and the monthly Denmark AI Tools Ranking follows the same data. Both are updated as new data comes in, so positions can differ from the June 2026 snapshot in the report.

Featured in the report?

If your company appears in one of the five rankings, you are welcome to say so. The report and its rankings may be freely used and shared, as long as RankmyAI is credited as the source. A reference that holds up looks like this:

Ranked #[position] in the [name of the list], AI Report Denmark 2026 by RankmyAI, in cooperation with Aalborg University Business School and AI Denmark.

For example: Ranked #7 in the Top 250 Danish AI tools and companies overall, AI Report Denmark 2026 by RankmyAI, in cooperation with Aalborg University Business School and AI Denmark.

Please link to this page, so readers can check the ranking and download the report themselves. The positions in the report are fixed. The monthly Denmark ranking on RankmyAI.com moves with the data, so when you refer to the report, quote the report position. Appear in more than one list? Quote each position separately, with the name of the list.

The rankings measure visibility, adoption, funding and user feedback. They do not measure quality, innovativeness or broader impact. “Ranked #7 in the Top 250” holds up. “Denmark’s seventh-best AI company” does not.
